Documents
Welcome to my McCreight family Web Pages.
The documents pages contain documents from Scotland, Ireland, South Carolina and North Carolina. The people
pages contains photographs beginning with early albumin cabinet photography and tintypes to modern digital
photographs.
You can view the McCreight Y-DNA project at:
www.familytreedna.com/public/mccreight/default.aspx?section=ycolorized
A DNA test can confirm your genealogical paper trail, prove relationships where there is no paper trail, detect
questionable paternity such as adoptions, show in which generation adoptions occurred and prove relationships
to alternative name spellings.
FamilyTreeDNA.com is the largest database of it’s kind in the world. They offer considerable discounts on DNA
tests for those who join an existing project. The McCreight project uses Y-DNA. That means only male line McCreights,
or some variant spelling such as McCright, McRight, McRae, McCraught, etc will find matches. The test uses two cheek
swabs and is painless. No blood is involved. It is recommended to begin with a 37 marker test kit.
Male surname McCreights, or variant spellings, can join the McCreight family DNA project and receive the DNA project
discount at the following link:
