Home Genealogy History People Places Kilian Gravestones   Documents In Germany graves are periodically removed from the cemeteries. The gravestones were removed from Saint Gallus Church cemetery in Erzberg, Bavaria at least twice since Andreas Kilian’s parents were buried there in 1726 and 1736, the last time in ca. 1976. Therefore, no graves for this Kilian family will be found in Germany. The graves of Andreas and his wife have never been found in America. The graves of only two of his children were found in North Carolina. Leonhard was buried in the Old Saint Paul’s Church Cemetery in Newton, Catawba County in 1795. Christianna was buried in Saint John’s Church cemetery in Cabarrus County in 1832.  Christianna Kilian Barringer, 1755-1832, courtesy of Sandra Philips Leonhard Kilian 1723-1795
